Default Bose overhaul... what do you think?

Hey guys, I'm planning on overhauling the Bose system and going with these:

Kenwood DDX7015 (HU)
Kenwood KNA-DV4100 (Nav)
Focal 165A Component 6.5" (Fronts)
Focal 165CA Coaxial 6.5" (Rears)
JL Audio 10W0-4 (Sub)
Rockford Fosgate P4004 (Amp for speakers)
Rockford Fosgate P2002 (Amp for sub)
Audiovox 5.8" LCD (Second monitor for the DDX7015)

The subwoofer will be in a custom enclosed fiberglass box where the stock sub was (I have a roadster). The LCD screen will be used for when I want the Nav to be always displayed while viewing a DVD Video on the other screen. Any opinions? I almost went with MB Quart speakers but heard Focals are better. Also the Rockford Fosgate amps were highly recommended -- they are supposively a hell of a lot better than RF's old crap. I'm going for quality over quantity in this setup.

I applaude the choices with the exception of the Rockford stuff. I would stay away from Rockford amps. The give alright power, but don't provide the quality that you're looking for based on your other selections. PPI is a good alternative as is eclipse. You'll end up paying a bit more, but it should be worth it. One note, if you don't mind mixing equipment then a rockford amp for the subs might suit you well as power is the critical element. But the focals, or MB quarts deserve better juice than rockfords. If your looking for opinions on components check out the Dynaudio 3 ways. Again a few more dollars, but very mellow which is exteremly helpful in the Z. The roadster is great, I wish I had spent the extra to get it!

I'm really happy with my PPI, but I'm not sure the source puts out a clean enough signal to worry about the amps. I'm not sure Kenwood is know for sound quality. I saw the stuff and it's going to be awesome, but I don't know if the amps will be a problem.

same with everyone else on the RF amps..skip on that. Im running Zapco amps and love them. Id even skip on the rear speakers and spend that money on the Focal 3way setup for the front. Im running the Utopia 3ways and they are amazing.

Give a fellow Z man a good deal on the bose stuff?
That is if you are parting out amps and everything that is with the bose.
I wouldnt mind getting the bose and amps and such if it will work and if the price = good

It came out amazing!

I can't play the sub yet because the fiberglass is drying (Jesse mentioned something about the car exploding if I played it so.... yeah).

The Rockford amps are extremely clear, Focals are nice and bright. Amazing combo.

I still haven't fooled around with the Kenwood HU but the Navigation is awesome. The second screen (Audiovox) actually looks better than the Kenwood for some reason. Can't wait to crank it up!

West Coast Auto Sound did a bang-up job. Mad props to them. I'm gonna be posting some pics in the coming week of the install and finished product. I'll be over there this weekend so maybe I'll see ya there Derek!

Awesome, Jesse has enough Z experience now for sure. The Audiovox screen is definately going to be better looking since the resolution should be higher.

You should be happy with the bass too. I think mine sounds great. So waiting a few days to let the box dry is smart. My car was in that bay for about 3 days for everything.

Tell me when you're headed down and I'll try and stop over. You live in Corona which is probably closer just to meet out here or down there.

I'm in Riverside.
