ok so im in the process of building up my audio system..
-1st i hooked up my alpine iDA-X305 headunit.. the IPOD one
-then i started the mold of my trunk corner not knowing what sub i was getting yet
-and i ran into a JL w6v2 d4 on the forums thanks to GET_ZWOLE
-so i finished the box after about 6 hours of work.. this is my 3rd fiberglass box fyi
-and thanks to GET_ZWOLE again.. i got a JL 500/1 amp to power my w6
here are some pics: ill post some of the amp/ amp rack when i recieve the amp in the mail
first off.. the car this is in

notice the TEIN EDFC ??

ive heard on this forum that in our car the BOSE blows.. well i have the non-Bose so mine must ever be even worse.. haha
and so here is where i need some advice.. what are the best sq component speakers that i should get just to run off of my headunit? i dont feel like messing with hooking up an amp to all 4 speakers i have no experience in that..

it really isn't too hard! do it! ...it probably ran me about $100 in supplies, and 6 hours of labor. plus you get experience. i was thinking of making a DIY but there is already one floating around that is very similar
nice thing about this box is how much cargo space is still left.. as you can see

Powering the speakers off of the head unit eh? Hmmm...
Polk Audio DB series components come to mind. They are efficient enough to run decently off of 20 or so watts RMS.
If you get a small 2-channel amp (because nobody does rear speakers...I mean REALLY!) that'll open up a ton of options for a much better set of components. Do it! You know you want to!

Anyway, I feel that getting some middle-of-the-road quality speakers, like the Diamond D661s set and a 50x2ch amp is better than spending a lot of money on components and running them off the integrated 'amp' inside of the Alpine headunit. Amps are not terribly difficult to install......it's the tuning that can get difficult
