Default Strange noise under the bonnet

Hey guys,

Long time no posting, I have been travelling all over the place.

Having a wierd issue. My windows and central locking just stop working. First there was a strange noise from what seems to be the window switches. Now they just dont work. After a while they work again and away I go.

In trying to work it out, I had the bonnet up and with the ignition switch on, the TPS sensor makes a high pitched noise. Is this nornmal?

Any chance anyone with a manual can do me a huge favour and put the car in 1st with the ignition on, and with the bonnet open check to see if you hear the noise???

Thanks so much!

Mike

Hmmm I thought it was new.

So you had the car in first with the ignition on? When out of gear it stops.

THanks

I have the same noise. In gear noise, out of gear no noise. It's loud enough I could hear it from within the car before getting out to check where it was coming from.

Cool. Thats good as I tested on an auto and it does it also!!!

Now my windows are 100% dead.

Central locking is on and off. All Nissan dealers booked until after xmas!!! Argghhhh!!!!!

Might need to bring some go fast bits back from the US, cheer the car up as it must be feeling unwell or something.

No noises from mine.

Mike ring up the Nissan dealer you got your car from and demand that they take 1/2 hr to look at the window / central locking. Tell them you sometimes cannot lock the car and this is a theft issue that need their immediate attention. Don't take no from the a**holes.

No another noises issue, does anyone have a noise that sounds like a loose chain coming from the engine? I get it everyday, but not constantly, and usually at low / start up speed. Sounds like a rattling chain???

Well interesting info from Nissan. They looked at the car today and kept it overnight.

They think its a control module but there are several so they have to find out which one.

I also think they may try to charge me and blame the grounding kit!!!! If they do that it should be an interesting afternoon

What makes me really laugh is that its a grounding wire they are raising. At no point can that wire cause any issue other than.....wait for it......wait........give better grounding !!!!!

I just think its all funny now, the window streaks, the electrical problems, the rattles......

Mike

p.s. still think it rocks though!

well my car looks 10 times better after by bingle with a truck.

It shows you how bad the pannels are put togther. And they fixed a number of noises plus I got a new coat of clear.

I was pissed off at how cheap Nissan was before that accident (i mean wtf is the stock clear...1 micron thick?). Now i'm just pissed off at Nissan just for being stupid idiots.

It's sad to see this is the general experience with one or two exceptions.
