Finally got the Flywheel and New looks
Finally got the Flywheel installed and new Bodykit
About the Flywheel, it does produce a noise, but i'm going to confirm with Richard's Z if the noise is same.
If not i'll have to take it back and check it again.
Hope you enjoy the new looks

Thanks guys.
Yeah Frosty i'm impressed with your eye
I thought you can't see it the car hasn't been washed for almost 2 weeks because i have to leave it at the shop.
But i thought in the photo you just can't tell it because of the good reflection from ZAINO
But i have decided to remove my Nismo Flywheels and go back to stock.
It's too loud for me but it's really fun to drive and i do enjoyed it when someone drove it to go around and Sound like a new car sounded like a Truck cement mixer with full of gravel inside it. It really noisy from outside the car as well. So i guess the flywheels it's a no no for me
One thing that got into my mind if i want to keep the Flywheel, i'lll need to throw away the Hi-tech exhaust and get the loudest Exhaust
Even at Idle the car still noisy and i can hear it while standing outside the car.

richies does have the same noise, except the idle sound. It's hard to compare because Richies Nismo Exhaust is A lot louder than the Hi-tech. As hi-tech it about 20% louder over the stock i think.
Richies nismo exhaust can produce a loud sound at lower RPM as the Hi-tech can only produce sound at mid range RPM.
So the reason Nismo design the Exhaust to be loud is to Cover the noise of the Flywheel

That might be it.... that might be Nismo's intention of selling the exhaust + flywheel in the Sport Resetting kit in Japan. When I drove my car again at night, I tried to listen to the noise and found that my noise isn't that loud as yours actually at the lower rpm and it only lasts for around 200 rpm or so, then gone... I even had my windows down and couldn't hear much about that even though I did not make the exhaust over loud.... I think we will find out more about what's going on when you are taking the flywheel off...
cheers,
richie

I doubt we can do anything with the noise that you could hear from outside when the car is travelling at lower rpm though. That might just be the nature of the light weight flywheel. But I guess it might be possible to get rid of the noise at idle because mine does not have that noise at all. Or does it depend on the transmission box as every Zed will not have the exact box installed., or it might even happen to be the bad installation.

I think we have went thur this before, the noise is caused by the fact that the lightened flywheel is a single piece construction with NO damping material, compare to the OEM damped two piece.
I hv the JWT flywheel and it has the noise at idle and low revs, the only way to get rid of the noise is to either ignor it and pretend its not there, or fit a loud exhaust and try to cover the noise from the flywheel, or dont drive the car less than 3k rpm.

well your Flywheels is a lot lighter than the Nismo. Nismo is heavier compare to your JWT flywheel. I have compared with Richies Z and also installed a Nismo Flywheels. Richies has agreed that my Flywheels is too loud compared with his.
Why should my Nismo will be as loud as yours, when my flywheels is heavier.

yes my JWL is lighter and may be louder, but thats not the point.
What Im saying is it is a fact that lightened flywheel is noisy, no exception, unless you can find a damped-lightened flywheel.
if you know your flywheel is noisier than richies, I recommand you go get it check before any damage is done

My old flywheel was almost silent and only weighed 4kg (9lbs) so it's not just weight that effects noise.
That said the real reason for this post is if you want a light flywheel but want minimal noise why not have the stock flywheel lightened? Don't know if it can be done with a dual mass flywheel and I'm not interested in doing it right now but maybe someone else is and wants to make the enquiries.

Nismo flywheel should be designed to have the most Minimal Noise. Because it's onyl 7% lighter than the stock. There is still a noise but it's very minimal
