Default Kinetix V3 Plenum For Sale

Almost New - about 4 weeks old actually. Slight imperfection - well more like a crack actually. I suppose it was to be expected.

A bit disappointing though considering that this is the third version now, and it takes quite a bit of effort to get these parts to Australia.

I think I'll wait a while and see how V4 goes before I ask for a replacement. I'm going to miss the extra performance, although having put the factory plenum back on now, I prefer the sound of the factory plenum. It sounds more refined. The plastic one is noisier with a sort-of hollow sound.

I noticed another Aussie forum member also had one. I can't remember who now, but wonder how it's going? Keep checking it carefully. The crack in mine was only visable when the motor was running. Fortunately, although the crack was opening up quite visibly on the outside, it had not cracked right through to the inside yet.

One really wonders how much R&D was done, 4 weeks isn't a lot of driving, and at the thotd attempt.

Bad luck mate, pretty disappointing. I heard where your coming from, once you get use to the extra power its hard to go back, being a trail braser is hard yakka as well as risky.

When they were annoucing the development of the plenum the said that the strength of the material wouldnt be a problem. They go that one wrong.

Malcom, I don't understand why you are trying to sell a cracked plenum, that we know will **** iteslf in the very near future.

Are you not entitled to a free replacement by kinetix? Even if the procedure for replacement is complex / time consuming, why don't you get the V4 and sell it unused, if you're no longer interested in the Kinetix plenum?

Sorry, KY350 but I was being facetious. I don't want to sell the plenum. It's not good for anything but throwing away. I should be due for a relacement, hopefully one that lasts longer than 4 weeks.

The intake manifold. It has 2 parts (upper and lower) and some people have changed the upper part to get more air into the combustion chambers. More air = more power!

Mr Rizk,

Did you see the US thread where the guys plenum totally broke while he was driving?

When it broke the engine shut down and he lost all power steering, brakes etc. If you were going fast at a corner you'd be in a bit of trouble when this occurs.

The guy was on a freeway at the time and had to get a tow truck. Im sure bits of plastic would have been sucked into the engine so god knows how much that might cost to fix.

I wouldnt RIZK it.

mchapman thanks for the heads up and pun.

I'm not looking at fitting it to my car but using it as a basis for another project.
