Default AutoXing 285 Kumhos?

I'm running BSP with my Z this year. I currently have 265's on front and rear, but am going with wider rims with the class bump - wondering if anyone has tried the 285-30x18 V710's?

Will the 285's fit the Z front and rear without rubbing issues? Has anyone done this?

With the right wheel I think it would fit. My guess would be 18 x 9.5 25 offset. or 18 x 10 22 offset would work. The 10 might be really tight though and require some fender "adjustments."

On an AutoX course I would be worried about getting tires that wide up to optimal temp. In fact -- I wonder if you are getting your 265s up to temp as it is.

But I do not AutoX -- only road track stuff -- so what do I know.

Oh there is no problem there I assure you. Auto-x heats up tires amazingly fast.

I'm currently running 275's in B stock and they feel awesome. They are up to temp after the first run and feel perfect. I know I've said it in like 50 other threads but The Kumho 710's are the awesomest tire in the world I love them!!!

del105 - are you on 275 Hoosiers? The reason I want to run 285 710's is because I've read they're far superior to the S04's (don't know about S05's)... and I think the 245 710's wouldn't be enough grip.

Has anyone tried the S05's? How do they compare to the Kumho's?

Im on 275 kumho 710s on a 17in wheel. They are a million times superior in every way to the A3S04s.

Too soft to run daily driver.

del - are your wheels 17x8 for stock?

I've got a Track, so I'm not sure if 17's would fit with the Brembo's... but I'm still looking for a set of light and not outrageously overpriced set of wheels - maybe 17's would work? Is anyone running 17's with the Brembo's?

Not in B stock -- at least if you don't want to be protested...

I realize that - I'm running BSP... thought there might be someone else who's tried it.
