Default Oil for track day

I am going to a track day next week.
I think that the oil raccomanded by Nissan (5W30) is not suitable at high temperature, so I am going to switch to another oil (5W40).
What do you think about ?
Which oil do you use for track ?

Thanks in advance,
Max.

I use Royal Purple Synthetic 5w30 in my Z and I haven't had any problems with it. I am sure any synthetic would work. I also recomend changing your oil after the track day as well.

EDIT: You should be more concerned about getting better brake fluid. I highly recomend going to a high temp DOT 3 or DOT 4 fluid like Wilwood 570, ATE Super Blue, Motul RBF 600 etc... I boiled my stock fluid after two 30 minute sessions on a 2.2 mile track.

+1. I've used Valvoline Synthetic 5W-30 at multiple track days and my VQ has not had any problems. Max- since you're in Switzerland, your climate must be similar to what we have in Colorado. What model Z do you have over there and what track are you visiting?

I second that on changing brake fluid. Granted I drive and '05 G35, but not only did I cook my rear rotors, but I too boiled my brake fluid which made the pedal get really soft. Motul RBF600 in the future for me.
