Loss of power steering was my clue. It became significantly more difficult to steer the car. Stopped, opened the hood and saw the ps fluid was leaking out around the cap.

How many laps do you do in a row where you autocross in your area?

Just pulling your chain, but the statement seems pretty far out.

Over time, you generate more heat on a road course, but you have those looooong straightaways to cool everything down, check your gauges, cool down the tires, rest your hands, call your girlfriend...

Seriously though, in a sixty-second course, there are probably 30-60 turns, some of which are fairly low speed and require more PS boost, while running with very little airflow through the engine compartment. It's enough to get the fluid working. I've noticed several times during summer events, especially those that end in longer slaloms, that the fluid is "bubbling" in the reservoir. Removing the front plate (even on the same day) seems to help by uncovering the almost quarter of the grill that is covered by the front plate.

I never had a problem losing power steering. I just change the fluid every year and bleed the system each year. I drive hard usually too

So that 11/32 barb fitting is the correct size for the stock lines?

Works great , hooks up to the stock lines and i used the zip ties that come with it into the stock brackets. Well one day at the track and one autocross with and , and no burned fluid smell.
