Track : CMP
Date: May 13, 2012
Best Lap time: 1:47:58
Car: FFR Challenge
Tires: Toyo RA1s (a bit old)
brakes: PBR's with Carbotech XP10 front, and XP12 rear
Temp: Low 80's
Notes: Considering this was in traffic, on a slicker than normal track, and with lots of side by side turn entries I think the car can do 1:42's or 1:43's with the new brakes. Enjoy the video, the race start was quite...um...exciting.

jump to about 4:20 for action.
my first time out on track after losing my left leg. i operate the clutch with my prosthetic left leg. its velcroed and zip tied to the clutch so it doesnt slide off while corbering.
mods: street tires, test pipes, cat back, brake pads.
best lap 63.8
and the reason for two different gloves is i lost the ability to fully close my right hand so i cant grip anything. the right hand glove has a rubber palm which helps me push my wheel chair and grab the shifter among other things

Track: Mid Ohio Pro
Date: 7-1-12
Best Lap time: 1:37.5
Car: 2004 350Z
Suspension: OEM springs, shocks and sways
Tires : Hoosier A6 275/35/18 square
Brakes: OEM with Carbotech XP-12s
Other Modifications: APR Wing, home made front splitter and air dam, lots of Motordyne stuff.
It was hot as hell this past weekend. In the high 90's, low 100s plus heat index. If it it was cooler, no doubt it would have been a record breaker.
Comp weight of 3153lbs. I crossed the scales at 3202lbs after this session. I only have data on the last lap. The data will start when the 3rd lap does. The first lap was a 1:38.7, second lap was 1:37.7 and the third lap was 1:37.5 (official). Got pretty close to the TTB record of 1:37.2. Crappy thing is, on my fastest lap, you will see I missed 5th gear going down the back straight. That definitely cost me a couple tenths for sure.

I broke one of my Zeals and it is in the process of being rebuilt. I am selling them anyway. Stock suspension gave me 5 points back (well 7 if you count sways) to use bigger tires and less weight. I am running faster with in this setup, so I will keep using it until I get Spec Z suspension.
Excellent driving. Your knowledge of the track/car is evident with how you carry speed on entry

Fixxxer, I completely mised your question about tires.
I run vintage spec Avon's, 185/65/13. Tires are shot, they were used tires we put on to get me going in my first race.
We are currently looking for a tire sponsor, if you know of anyone let (all of) us know

This was my first ever street grand prix and it is an experience like no other. Real race trucks are very fun to drive on, but the real world elements in a grand prix are something truly special. In faster cars, which anything is faster than my sprite, I Think I lapped faster pushing myself in my wheelchai, you really have to take into consideration the crown in the road, potholes, manholes and curbs. Instead of having FIA curbing to crawl up on, you have a 6" granite curb right there to take you out if you screw up slightly. It truly is a unique fun expereince. I recommend it to anyone who races to try one
