My son and I are going to compete in B Stock. Who else is going to Topeka?

Do you have to have any qualifications to go to nationals like say a certain number of regional, divisional or national tour events under your belt?

The SCCA will charge a waiver fee of $75 if you have not run a Tour or Divisional in 2007. Add that to the $110 entry fee if you didn't.

We ran 3 Tours and I muddled through.
Valdosta (5th of 16 in BSP in a stock 03)
Walnut Ridge (might as well have stayed home)
Huntsville (3rd in BS behind Carter and Asher).

It would be nice to have someone to talk to. RX-8 drivers tend to gather among themselves to the exclusion of others.

I don't think that is true.... I talk to Glenn (PDX Racer) and both of the Thompson's. You just don't want to talk to us because you might end up in a Mazda like Carter.

It is hard to get around and talk to everyone if you are in a big class, and you spend half the time running from grid in BFE to the course to watch runs, so you tend to only chat with the people near you in grid. For the most part I think BS is a very nice group.

Unless someone takes #47 you will be right next to us this year, we are BS #48.

Well, it looks like I have permission from the boss (and the real boss) -- and it looks like I'm going to be able to make the show again this year.

Besides, I don't think that anybody wants to see me in an RX-8.

I don't think it's true either. Most people in B Stock don't know you. Most people in B Stock also run RX-8s. People presumably didn't talk to you at Nats last year because they didn't know who you were, not because they drove RX-8s.

I've had dozens of people walk up to me at events and say, "Hey, are you PedalFaster? I'm so-and-so," and the conversation goes from there. Try it...

For the record, I'll be in Topeka, but I'll be running in A Stock, not B Stock as I did for the past two years.

My apologies to all who read this thread. I screwed up.

My goal was to get some 350Z owners interested in attending the Nationals, not worrying about my social life. I thought I could stir up some participation. I was a bit miffed at Jason for not remembering I gridded next to him last year but then decided that was pretty stupid. He was busy winning and I was not.

I would like to see more participation by 350Z drivers at the national level. Glenn, Josh and I are the only forum members out of thousands going to Nationals?

Best of luck at Nationals. Looks like the Z does a little better every year. Could this be the year that....? Better not mention it or else I might jinx it. Good luck!

Drivesolo - you should go and run BS this year...next year you'll be BSP, so you have to do it this year! (it's only a 25 hr drive to Topeka...that's not too bad)

Lee and I will be there. We will be running in BS also.

Should be a fun time.
