Atlanta Tour

The event was a lot of fun. We had eleven entries in B Stock. I led after Saturday but Carter went on a tear Sunday and went up 1.3 sec on the 1st run. I cut it to .6 sec and then he made it 1.2. Finally I got back a couple of tenths and ended up .97 behind. I was 2nd and Jason 3rd which is a pretty good Tour for 350Zs since all the rest of the RX-8's were behind us with a BMW.
One comment I heard several times was that the course was so big and fast. There are regions that are lucky to get a small lot or long narrow area like an airfield. Some folks do not see large fast sweepers or big lane changes over 40 mph often. Makes me feel very fortunate to have several good sites in driving range.
The Atlanta Region hosted a great event and everyone went home pleased.

I didn't hear about anyone getting hurt on Sunday. I was watching the last heat near the finish where most spins happened but don't remember it. I hope he heals quickly.

Hey guys,
Just to echo what Mike said, the courses were fast and fun. First day had a couple of really tight spots that we could power out of, while the second day really had none. Second day was more about fast sweepers.
After turning what I thought were some respectable times, Carter woke up and turned in some of the fastest stock-class times. After that it just became about preserving my trophy
I went over my videos and datalogs and I think I'm still driving the car like it's a front wheel drive. I will spend the next few events re-learning how to drive and hopefully make a better showing in DC
With that being said, Mike is really a great driver and I only wish I were local to him so I could run against him more often! Thanks for listening to me ramble, Mike!

I took some video clips during my time off. These are not of 350Z's but can show you the course and the event as it was busy and exciting. When you know most of the people running it's a lot more fun.
