Default First track event story

Wanted to post this story that I wrote about my first track event years ago and try to get some feedback from you guys if you don't mind. I'm now an instructor in many clubs and I'd like to encourage more people to try tracking their cars. This is why I wrote this story based on my first experience at the track.

I'm not a a writer and haven't even really proofed it so you will have to excuse that aspect of it but I would be really glad to get some feedback.

Thanks,

Jason

Hi Jason,

I think that's a great article for beginners. I've been doing advanced drivers schools for several years and am an instructor candidate myself so I'm always interested in artlicles like this.

I like the first-person style: it really gives you a sense of the excitement you feel at a school. I remember going through the same things at my first school...especially the part about being blown away by how much faster your instructor is!

Anyway, I think it's a great article to turn people on to schools. By the way, which track were those pics taken at? I don't recognize it.

Jason, well done! I feel like I could have written that myself, it is exactly how my first three track events went!

Thanks for the feedback guys! I really appreciate it.

The pictures are actually from two different tracks, Watkins Glen and Summit Point. These are just some of the random pictures that I have accumulated over the years and I threw them in to give a bit more of a sense of the track's atmosphere.

I thought I recognized Turn 5 at Summit Point! But at first it threw me because I didn't remember those barn/farm houses, etc. Then I realized that I was focused on driving and never saw them in the first place!

That explains it! I recognized the paddocks in the second pic as being the Glen, but the last two were totally different.
