Thats just some scrap carbon steel they used for the proto type 14 gauge I believe. I'm going to get them made from stainless with a thinner gauge for the final product.

 

I've seen a couple Zs with some brake ducts up front. Did you contact any of them to see if they had something that you could use? Might have saved you some time.

 

To my knowledge brake duct mounts for the G/Z are non existant.

 

No, no, I mean that some guys on this forum has some Zs with ducts that they have added. So they might have something that fits close and made it work. I have been thinking of doing the ducts myself, but haven't gotten around to it. Looks like you are very close to finishing up.

 

Isn't the ideal place to vent the inner hub area?

 

Thats where it is venting. Though I'll admit there is little room to work with to get the fresh air to the hub.

 

I was attempting to do something like your photo...never got that far prior to my track events. Nice bracket idea...here's some pictures of where I ended up...it is very difficult to get the brake duct and get full suspension and steering travel...I as thinking I'd have to use 2" duct for the final 12 inches into the rotor. I had to remove that metal end since I never finished a bracket to attach the nozzle to the steering hub. Definitely interested in getting a template of that bracket. What bolts did you use?

 

Gword might have an advantage there due to the larger BBK kit. In any case, it is a very ideal design and it is simple enough to work very well hopefully.
