I'm dumping my 4.8 liter Silverado and building a tire trailer for my car. Towing is way too expensive with gas and diesel prices. I don't know how anyone can justify cost involved with amatuer motorsports now a days with fuels costs as high as they are now.

7.3 DIESEL HANDS DOWN! Of course I have to have one to pull my equipment around town and have put $$$$$ into it to make it last and tow. I get 15 around town with a heavy foot and ~22 on the highway. It has every mod you can imagine, rebuilt balanced motor, single shot 185CC injectors, turbo, complete fuel return system, suncoast transmission etc etc etc...but I would not hesitate to jump in it right now and drive to Alaska...375K on the clock and still will run a low 13 sec 1/4

Also have a 2000 4X4 Excursion..almost all the same mods...44 gallon tank will get us from Austin, Texas to our vacation spot in panama City Beach, Florida on ONE tank of fuel! 9000 lbs..load up my family of six and all they can pack for vacation and still get ~21+ MPG....Freaking LOVE this truck!

2003 Dodge 5.9 diesel with the NV5600 6spd trans. With the stock turbo, we put down 450whp and 960lbs of torque, we upgraded the turbo and have yet to get it back on the dyno. We typically tow our race buggy with this set-up, but I use it occasionally for my Z.

36 foot, goose neck. There's 3 diamond plate cabinets up front as well as a generator, large winch, etc. The over bed area is a sleeping quarters.

One of the TTA Midwest drivers that runs up here is on his way to Road Atlanta now. He drives a blue EVO. I am curious to see how he does against the C5 guys. He does very well up here. Podium'd at Nats with a 14 car field.

Of course! =)

The guy in the blue EVO said he ran 1:34.1. He said he was gridding 4th today. He was running 245 R6's though. He normally runs 255 A6's. I'm sure he could get down in the 1:32's or even 1:31s.
