That's what I figured. The shipping price across the country hinders the discount they offer. OTS TireRack pricing actually ends up cheaper.

Finally got the Z all put together and ready for it's shakedown. I still need a set of headlights, a hood, and an undertray but I'm going to give it a little run this weekend anyway. Just need to swap on the RPF1s. Doing the shakedown at a semi-private open track day at Waterford Hills on Hankook RS3s. Should have all day to work out the bugs and break things. I need to find something to cover the headlight holes since all of the tabs are broken off of my headlights.

Hopefully I find a job quickly so I can get the cage in and get signed up for comp school in August/September.

I have just what you need, they are the old headlight covers I used in the PTB days. They are made from regular headlights that that had the bottom section cut off just leaving the outwardly visible covers...and then painted black

PM me you address and I will UPS them to you.

NOTE: NOT LEGAL for SpecZ

Thanks a ton! Sent 'ya a PM. Those should hold me over for a while!

Forgot one other thing from my list... I need to enlarge the hood pin holes a touch. I must have let the bit slip a little so it's really difficult to open/close the hood. Going to run to harbor freight to get a hole enlarger tonight.

Any rough idea on long it will take to finally let go? A few more track days? If I continue to use it, does it make replacement worse/more expensive?

Thanks again!

No, there are regions all over. I race in NorCal, but there's also SoCal and AZ nearby to you.

BTW: SCCA allows the Spec Z in the Touring race classes as well...T3 I think.

The shakedown today went really well! Had to pound out one of the dents in the fender that was trying to punch a hole in my right rear but otherwise trouble free. My arms are going to be rubber tomorrow from holding myself in place under braking. Can't wait to get the cage and proper seats/harnesses in. Was running times on par and maybe a little better than the last time I ran the 370Z on street tires at Waterford Hills.

Good to hear all was well. Can't wait to see it at MO next month or are you coming in August?

Saturday night I actually heard from my cage builder of choice and he said he would be ready end of July so I may miss out on that event. Though the cage and event are both contingent on my getting a job since my contract ends next Monday.

The 350Z is in T3, though you have to use the NISMO T3 spec springs and sway bars. It's relatively easy to convert back and forth, but it's not a direct crossover. I believe there is a proposal to allow the Spec Z suspension package on the table, but as of now, it is not yet legal.

This didn't paginate correctly, but here is the link

http://scca.cdn.racersites.com/prod/...20GCR-July.pdf

But the "Spec" 350 is listed as a valid T3 car...

I don't race SCCA...but some of the folks on this forum do and can confirm this info.

My bad, for some reason I thought Spec Z used a different spring, shock, and sway bar package. I'm much more familiar with the SCCA rules than the NASA rules.
