New NASA Class for 2012: Spec Z
I forgot to add that : No they have not run this car in Spec Z yet. They have been running TTB while building the car (pre-cage) to qualify for the Nationals. But they should get 2 or 3 Spec Z races in before the Nats..
Did I mention that Joe was Smoking Fast :-)
Joe Ippolito...screaming fast TT guy

What does "Supersize (2nd entry for same driver) : $299" mean? Second entry to what?
The $299 "Supersize" means you can race your car in Spec Z and in another class, such as Performance Touring or Time Trials.

Well I've completed reading all 69 pages of this thread and I'm 90% sure I will be purchasing a 350Z to convert into a SpecZ car. My current project I just started this winter was a 1999 Mustang Cobra that I was going build into a track car, but being a 350Z guy, I'm much more interested in going the SpecZ route.
I've done many years of HPDE and this April I competed in my first NASA TT at Autobhan CC with the NASA Midwest gang. The Cobra is for sale and once that sells I will purchase my track Z to begin the build. I'll probably finish the remainder of this year in TT running TTB or wherever it may fall and then next year come spring I'll go to school for my comp license. I'll be following all the Spec Z threads on here, NASA forums, and Facebook and keeping good notes for my build. Look forward to racing with you guys soon!
I'll do my best to keep an up to date build thread on the NASA forums as soon as I purchase the car.

I agree with mhoward1 above, an old SCCA T2 car would be a good option as well, if you can find one.
Call Dave Woodle (508-254-4552) - He's got a DE that I used to race thats for sale cheap. He's in the Boston area.
Naw, I will be 60 in October...and ready to retire from "working for the man"...and generally downsizing my life somewhat. After retirment from the Mega Company I work for today, I plan to get back into a small business environment, hopefully in the Automotive world and have some fun
Hopefully something that will have me attending races, trade shows, or involed in a sponsorship somehow...not sure yet. Currently I am subject to waking up each day and asking myself...do I want to drive in heavy Atlanta traffic, perform my technocrat job for 8 hours and drive back thru heavy/nut job traffic anymore...one day soon the answer will be "Hell No"!!!
Also, both my shoulders are hosed up, pulled muscles/rotator cuff injuries that make very high speed steering corrections more and more difficult. I almost stopped racing last year...then SpecZ was announced so I continued on for 2012 and 2013...but will not race much if any in 2014. Maybe some LeMons/ChumpCar/Skip Barber stuff, and rent-a-ride in select Enduros...but I am too old/slow/cheap/laze1 to be a competitive sprint racers now.
But I will still play with cars...until I am dead...
