Mid-Ohio 4/2-3-4/04 HPDE
I've got a POS Sears floor jack that I'll likely bring... it gets the job done. I think I'll try and flush in fresh brake fluid before I get to the track...
I think I'm going to speak to Lawrence about a possible my350z.com discount since we have so many signed up.

Thanks, guys!
My Z WILL be track ready before I leave the Windy City! But 3 days might even bit much for my new rear pads.
I just want to be prepared.
Let's see......I've never been on this track, I drive a lowly
Enthusiast, and I'll be on 040's........what the heck am I getting myself into!
Can't wait!

I will be there for at least one day and maybe two. I live in Cleveland (about an hour north) so anyone needing somewhat local assistance, let me know. If you are passing through Cleveland and need a rest, just let me know.
Thanks to Enthuz/Bruce for giving the dope on this event. We had met previously at Gingerman and I cannot wait to see y'all there. BJ - looking forward to seeing you there. Joiya - you too.
Hey BJ, if I buy a set of sways with the new bushings, would you bring them to Mid-Ohio for me so I don't have to pay the shipping fee (joking unless you are willing)?
OH, TOOLS. I will be bringing my tools as well as a floor jack. Should cover all major needs. Y'all are welcome to use them if you don't have room in your car to bring yours. I AM SOO EXCITED!

I probably won't be on race tires by then. They are on my list, but I have to burn up my RE040s so that I can make room on my rims.
Speaking of which, any race tire recommendations for the stock track model rims. The best I can find is 225/40 and 245/40 on TireRack.com. These are a little different than stock, but I am not sure if they will bug-out the TC/VDC (not like I use it one the track).

I'd go wider to a 245/40 in the front and 255/40 in the rear. Tirerack currently has Pilot Sports on clearance (about the same price of S03s) since they have the next generation of Pilot Sports coming out soon.
John,
Thanks for the suggestion. I would prefer the pilots personally. However, won't a 245 in front cause too much flex in the tire. If the tire is overly wide, won't it allow for more lateral motion? Just curious.

, glad you'll be joining us!
I agree with your tire concerns. To keep "right-now" turn in, I like to keep tire size on the smaller of the recommended width per rim width....hope that made sense. But lots of people have gone the other way, and are happy. Go figure. I'm sure different tire construction affects this too. My old race Goodyear's had a 10" tread, yet were designed for my 6" rims.

Bruce, you can call me anything you like (well almost)
That does make sense. I think I just need to shop a little more. I could have sworn that I found a set of pilots that fitted in the stock size last year, but I can't find them now. Hmmm...if only I could get them before April

I hadn't planned a dyno run, but the ability to compare under identical conditions to others has me interested. And, yes, an A/F curve is a must. I'll talk to my dentist about some NO2
