Must know pressure difference and surface area at least. Read the links I posted if you really want to understand.

"If the pressure delta is only 2psi average, and you have 100sq inch of splitter top surface, you have just added 200lbs of front downforce! "

from all the link that this thread gave ,,, the most peoples got as a result of the splitter was around 0.175 to 0.225 Psi @ 80mph

from my quick estimate my splitter should be around 360''sq and let say that 0.2 psi is acheveble, I should have about 66 lbs of downforce by your calculation

right ?

Sounds right. I want one of those manometers. I think I can make a homemade one out of a Ford EGR DPFE (Differential Pressure something something) sensor.

A 2psi delta is what you can achieve with a real splitter that has effective diffusers and is very low to the ground.

Any progress? I'll be building a splitter under a nismo v2 also, I've got lots to do before that but I'm looking forward to seeing what you do with yours.

I've been busy so I'm stalled at the progress you see. Going to get my friend to consult on welding/ fabricating some tabs/ brackets. Will definitely post as I go along.

Ok so I started along a little bit. Right now I'm working on getting the template positioned so we can weld up some custom brackets.
General view

As it sits currently it's 3.75" off the ground. But I figure it will be a little lower with the 295/30 18"s on and then a little lower in function.

front view I will use an airdam out of aluminum to close the gap and close up a lot of the space in the front grill especially for the 3 lap time attack sessions where cooling is not as paramount.

undercar shot. plan to weld some slots to hold the back. might weld on a nut so two bolts can be placed to hold it.

this is the current sway bar clearance. Do I have enough or do I need to go lower?

hood is gutted. so it's flimsy. just holding the bumper in place with screwdrivers so it's removeable in the splitter making procress.

The fenders are also cut. Cut the sides off to save 11 lbs.

As it sits...

not meant to be pretty but hope to make some custom sideskirts out of alumapanel as well.

Now looking at it of you'd cut the fender to match the lines on the front bumper it would of looked 100 times better! Also blacking out the frame that's visible would help...

I know track car

But

She can look pretty while at it

Good work on the splitter!

Agreed, and probably close that gap in front of the door, aerodynamically probably going to kill you

You're good on the sway bar clearance. Mine is a tad closer than that and I don't have any issues.

Coming along nicely.

Time for some superlegerra aerodynamics on those fenders!

To work on front portion of splitter. Will bolt to 6 holes into the frame where the crash beam bolts in.

may need a little more triangulation. and i might get a rib welded on to some of the pieces so they can't be bent very easily. (kind of like a T shaped metal fence post)

But thats the general idea.

I love it. Are you going to put the crash bar back on?

As for the crash beam I planned on it being an option. But probably not using it on time attack runs. I will be very badly outclassed power to weight next year.

Heres the final template picture of the front brackets. I guess next will make a couple of these out of 3/8 " steel plate.

Generally a splitter that's over 3" above ground is not working as a splitter anymore. Its acting more as a big front spoiler. You can help that by adding two short diffusers that exhaust into the front wheel wells. Some examples here:

Just coming back to this point. I now see the value in this. Do you have a source with larger pictures? As I am getting closer to completion of the bracket and basic splitter shape I can get down to work on improving the splitters function.
