Shims? I made a bunch out of 3/4x1/16 aluminum available at my local hardware store. Took about an hour to make 8 shims with a hacksaw and Dremel

Thanks for the input, that was my thought as well. I will be playing around as I have a good starting point now from the rack. I find it MUCH easier to string align it myself, with pro rack alignment first.

Been husstlin to get the Z ready for the sept 7th event. First got all the bumper stuff on brought it to a local body shop that was recommended for paint. They did a **** **** job. Maaco quality at best. Went thru alot of back and fourth BS with the owner, claims its the bumper cover is crap, honestly to me looks like a lazy *** job. Just slapped some sloppy paint on there. Ne ways hes re-doning it today for no extra. Hope for the best!

Got the used trans in. New JWT clutch 12 lb fidanza flywheel feel really great, totally awesome. OEM feeling revs like mad. 04+ clutch fork and chromoly pivot ball with SS lines from the master as well. Def feels faster to me, flywheel chatter is a forum hyped issue.

Bad news. 5th gear in the used trans is ****, Grinds and is baddddd. Guy gave me a 100% refund. Guna use it the rest of the season since I dont normally use 5th on track. LOL!!!!! And was free.

Is the Z bad luck? TBD. Hope not a few more events to go this year.

Shenandoah is one of my favorites! Track does not let up. Crazy fun weekend. Z drove flawless.

Best lap time was 2.01.83

Wife got me a new gopro, fun to use!

Skid pad drift, photo of my father trying out the Z. We were able to do complete loops.

Using Nissan OE trans fluid now since the last trans broke using redline, feels more notchy. But no breakage.

Also, killed a rival tire. Will post up photos for some advise.

Guys looking for some opinions on my BFG's. Damage only this single tire. Moved it to the least loaded side once I discovered these worn out spots. They will grow in size with every cession.

No doubt its due to my lack of a track alignment for most of the season.

Good for one more event? I have also sent these photos to tirerack and BFG directly to see what they think.

I wouldn't do an autocross event with that tire unless it was flipped on the wheel first.

I wouldn't recommend that tire for road course duty though, even after it gets flipped.

The new BFGs are VERY sticky for a street tire and exceptional in the rain as well. Highly recommended.

Learned that the TCS button doesnt turn the traction off 100% Kinda annoying.
ABS is very invasive, a fellow Z owner at the track did the ABS bypass ive been reading about. No prop valve, just used pad compounds to achieve a good balance.

Very fun weekend!
When you say TCS do you mean VDC? I see you have a track model so it has VDC, i have an enthusiast model which is TCS only and pushing the button does turn it off 100%

VERY interested to hear how much this weighs.
Also, I have seen previous opinions that that whole speaker box assembly provides rigidity. Any of you guys subscribe to that theory?????
(Thinking about removing mine this winter).

Will be at Shenandoah tomorrow w/ Stoptech SR32 Race Pads. Previously used Carbotech XP12/10.

Little number of reviews on these pads, should be interesting how they perform.

When the roll bar is complete, I plan to tie it into the chassis area where the speaker boxes were cut out from. With gussets. It could indeed provide some rigidity.

According to my bathroom Scale.

All the steel was 32 lbs
Misc plastics and brackets including stripped rear hatch. 65 lbs

total is 97. Not bad!
