No VDC, it's a base model. I don't care about the odometer, but I'm guessing the speedo probably runs off it too. I'd like to keep that.
Also, I wasn't happy with the clearance of the hose coming off the drain so I just ordered a banjo connector to replace it with, should give me much better clearance.
Here's what I found searching the web:
The 4 ABS sensors and the rear speed sensors are associated with traction and VDC. the speedometer source comes from the transmission output shaft.
Here's the setup with the banjo fitting, way better clearance. I also ended up putting a larger washer on the speed sensor bolt and mounting if off vertical. I don't think it'll matter, since this is just a magnetic pickup. Filled it up and ran the pump, then filled it up agan. Ended up using 2.5L of oil vs. 1.9L capacity with just the Z1 cover. So far don't see any leaks, will check again tomorrow, but I think it's good to go. The pump is loud but that's ok, at least I'll be able to tell if it's actually working.
looks clean. race engineering solutions are very satisfying. you even have room for an air scoop. maybe like Porsche GT3 brake scoops? They're cheap, like $5. I'd like to adapt them to fit the 350Z. elegant vs brake ducting.

So far I haven't had a need for brake ducting. My akebono setup works well and pads are lasting a long time with no discernable fade.
I just ordered 1/8" thick aluminum composite sheets to make a proper rear diffuser out of, that should also improve the flow around the cooler.
Been under the weather for the last week, but did manage to start work on the diffuser. Got the bumper cut out, front brackets installed and the general diffuser shape made up.
I'm using 1/8" aluminum composite sheets. The diffuser is 28" wide, which is the maximum that'd fit between the fuel recerculation box on the pass side and the muffler hanger on the driver side. The two fins in the middle are spaced at 9" apart. The cutout on top of the diffuser is for the diff cooler, the cutout on the right side is for the muffler. The fins will be cut down once I figure out how much ground clearance there is.
I spent way too many hours fitting, reinforcing and mounting this thing, but it's finally done. Final form of the difuser painted same blue as my cage and stripes
Here's a shot of mounts I created to attach it to your rear crash bar. I setup 3 of them across the bar
Im a big fan of 9lives as far as putting out a well designed wing and being straight forward about the performance and CFD on the wing. It looks great.
nice!
I would be satisfied at this point just to get the rear spoiler installed but I've had reservations about drilling holes into the CF hatch. I think I'll just do the two holes on the ends like you did and use the 3M tape in case I end up not liking the result.
When I switch to cf hatch the duck tail will likely go, it really doesn't serve a purpose anymore, but without the wing it did provide some down force.
Cleaned the car today so it's ready to be in packed up for the next event.
