Any Z's going to VIR for MDA?

I had to cancel this past Friday at the track but at least you can reschedule once. VIR is all or nothing! See you there.

what run group do you anticipate being in? what color is your z?

I'm not sure what group. I've gone solo on the North Course but I'd like a run with an instructor for full course. And, LeMans Sunset, is there any other color?

 

awesome. it will be great to have another LS out there. well, i will be in green group as this is only my second time at a course period. first event happened to be this same event last year. it's a good ego boost, passing all those miata's.

haha. that's funny. my dad has a '92 miata which he has promised to give me to turn into a "project" car. my goal is to make sure it is faster than the Z.

i was great to meet you and the wife. i had a great time, and i'm sure you did as well. i really wish we had been in the same group, but that's the way things go.

I'm jealous I didn't go last weekend. I didn't like Roebling Road at all. The pavement was horribly uneven in the apexes. All sweeping high speed turns, so the course is all about tires. Spec Miatas that I usually beat by 5 seconds at VIR full, were beating me by 5 seconds at Roebling. It was fun to be out there, but I'll take VIR full anyday.

 

It was good to meet you too Sean. That was the best weekend ever. My buddy in 911 RS stayed for the last session and looped it in the rollercoaster, no damage, just hurt pride. Hope to see you again!

 

I was hoping you'd be there Rob. I wanted to check out your rollbar and belts. Of course that's the next setup.

i saw his car was all dirty. i thought maybe it was just a function of the dust blowing around, but i guess not. the last session they put C and D run groups together, so i got to see how the next level up is. quite fun. that is where i should have been in the first place.

rob...sorry to hear about roebling...i was kinda worried that would be the case. oh well, lesson learned i guess.

Hey! Thanks for pointing my spin out! That's alright, I am over it. I am going to be spending the rest of my day cleaning the dirt out of my car. It is unbelievable how much got in there.

The two things I learned:

Don't hold your turn-in too long and
Don't hold your turn-in too long

I will be at Summit this Friday and next Friday, hopefully I learned my lesson.

 

How about " make sure your sun visors are secure"? I just changed my front pads out. I can't believe I was even stopping!
