Update - 7/14/04...

Well - our dreams of parade laps were shot down today. The series officials decided not to do them for logistical reasons (schedule too busy, TV coverage on Sunday).

We have been given the go-ahead for grilling - I was told for this event we are not allowed to have anything 'catered' anyway... so I'm thinking we should go ahead and try to get a tent. I'll get a price. We can hang banners within our car coral and on our tent if we get one.

Yup... not sure why. I assume the track grill will be open all day, but 'A Catered Affair' won't be doing anything except tent rentals for this event.

 

And we can not bring anyone from the outside? Like Gaslight?

 

Mmmm... seared mammal flesh...

I'm all about doing a grill-out... perhaps we could have a chili contest or a best burger contest... if we do a grill-out, it would have more of a "family" feel of sorts...

Hey guys... sorry I haven't given any updates yet... Registration is slow, but technically it's still early. Starting Monday though, I'm going to need all your help in getting the word out about the event outside of this thread.

Please play up the event at any club meetings, events, etc. Send info and links to your friends off-list as well. This event should be for any race fans - not just us Z fans (I face this battle all the time promoting Triangle Z Club's track events.)

Remember, for the ticket discounts, we need at least 11 people to sign up. If there are people who don't want to use the online purchase option, they can email me directly and we'll work it out via snail mail.

Monday I'll start finalizing food detail, meet times, etc.

Yes......we will be up on the pavement from the garages at under our transporter....it the big rear one with the starts and stripes on it.

I'm all set for VIR, just trying to get the okay to drag Jason along with me. The problem with going to these events is BJ's camp is alot of fun to hang with... so I get the old stink eye from my team when I go back to the trailer.... it's all in fun!
