Has anyone had any problems with the inside of the lens after doing this? I had a shop do mine awhile back, and shortly after it developed this problem. I thought it was condensation, but it must have something to do with chemicals, heat or both. I took some pictures with my phone, so it's a bit hard to see.
Depending on the paint, I would wait as long as I could for the paint to fully cure. With a rattlecan, I am letting mine sit for 4 weeks when I redo them this spring (before I reseal them).
GL to you.

Thanks for the write up!!
I'm painting my 04.5 single projector HID's tomorrow (hopefully).. One thing I was thinking was using a eco-friendly paint with low VOC's.. which means less fumes to fog up my lenses (assuming the fumes are to blame).
I am still allowing sufficient curing time, painting them this Saturday and re-assembling them Wednesday, but it wouldnt hurt to take any extra precaution.
The paint I found is Krylon H20 Latex Spray paint, which has 30% less VOC's than traditional spray paint. Being that its latex, it also should have some flex in it to reduce chipping or cracking.
Will post up pictures and reviews of the paint once my lights are all back together and installed.

quick question. Would the 03-05 headlight cover fit an 06-08 headlight. Reason for my question is that i have the 03-05 headlights and some local guy is selling the 06-08 lights but the covers are cracked. Would it still seal the same?

Condensation in my headlight
hey guys - so i did the headlight mod back in Jan of 09 and i've never had an issue with my headlight because i washed the car myself and made sure not to spray to much water on the headlight. Well i took my car to the car wash for the first time and i guess their was just to much moisture and now my headlight is filled with moisture and the headlight wont turn on (probably because of the moisture)
can anyone tell me how to fix this?
thanks
(I know that the most obvious way is to open it all up and re-do the sealing but i thought maybe putting a hairdryer into one of the open holes from the back might dry out the moisture?)
can anyone tell me how to fix this?
thanks

I painted mine yesterday, left about 25 mins between each coat, then after it was all done I set the painted pieces in the oven for 6 minutes to let them heat up and bake. I reassembled everything and when I got to work today I noticed mine had the rainbow effect as well....Im wondering if everyone is getting this??
