Exclamation Problems with Replacement Cross Drilled/Slotted Rotors

I just purchase a set of front and rear cross/slotted rotors for my car. I took my stock rotors off and replaced with the new ones. I made sure everything was bolted right and just the way it was before i took everything off. I drove the car earlier this evening and on all 4 corners, it sounds like the brake pads are rubbing against the rotors while driving, getting louder and louder the faster i drive. I cant figure out what else do. Could it be because my stock rotors that i replaced were worn down and i need to adjust something for the new ones ??? I also replaced all brake pads with new Hawks HPS. If anybody got any clue, it would save me to take my car to the local shop. Thanks

Did you put the bads on right? In the right direction? A LONG time ago, about 15 years. I put one of my pads on wrong. It fugged the rotor good. Now that Im older I take it a bit slower, lol.

Did you do the brake bedding they have posted on most brake pad sites, and on stoptechs website? I would think while's its breaking in it would be a little noisy, but it sounds pretty bad the way you described it. I"m going to be replacing all my pads with HPS's soon too with new rotors, except mine will just be slotted. Oh well, if you find out what's up, let us know.

Ive heard of fitment issues with Hawk HPS front. Were they tight going in? If so maybe they are so tight that after you used the brake they stayed locked onto the rotor and are just constantly grinding/making noise. I have a set of front HPS's for the track model Im not even gonna bother installing them....anybody want a set?

No i put the pads in the right direction. I pushed the pistons on the caliper all the way back and they were not that tight to put on.
I did the bedding procedure last night and at the end of it, it was still rubbing like crazy. I am going to take everything apart again and look at it closely.

My guess is incorrect rear rotor size with e brakes rubbing againts the inside of the rotor. Check with your rotor manufacturer. Let me/us know.

Also-get your Z in the air and spin em. You should be able to see where the drag is.

Did you index the rotors to meet as installed less than 0.0028" runout spec.[0,001" IS BETTER].......many aftermarket are poor quality and come warped out of the box [due to shipping] or sloppy manufacturing during drilling slotting.

Bought them on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...RK%3AMEWN%3AIT

I am returning them, the rears are not even clearing the bracket for the caliper. I just ordered some Stop Tech from Performance.

the UR Crank Pulley and UR Crank Pulley Set...

The Crank PUlley is what makes the power... The pUlley Set, the other 2 pulley's are for show, they do not add any gain, they are the same size and just about the same weight...
