Is there a 17" wheel that can go over 14" stoptechs?

how much does the caliper/wheel expand/contract due to heat?
i remember i had 300zx brakes on my Maxima and they would clear when it was cold, but when it heatd up, it started to hit my rims..![Frown](https://my350z.com/forum/images/smilies/frown.gif)
if we're talking like 2-5mm clearance.. egads.. but 15mm should be more than enough..

In theory, the 2mm reccomended gap is more in case of the wheel hitting an "object/curb/bump" and deforming slightly. Heat expansion is almost irrelevant... less than maybe 1/10-1/2 of a mm.

I did a quick calculation making a lot of assumptions:
400F x .0000065 x 8.5" = .022" = .6mm
I'm assuming an increase of 400 degrees F average over the radius of the brake caliper/bracket/hub assembly. .0000065 is the coeff of steel expansion, and 8.5" is the approx radius of the caliper/bracket/hub assembly. It comes out to 0.6 mm increase in radius.
Someone bust out the calculus, and give me a better number... :-)

Mine clear both the stock Brembos and the Stoptech 14's... only brake I don't think they'll clear is the Endless or Project Mu 14.5's
Weds TC-05 17x9.0 et 20 all around with 20mm spacer in rear (for looks)
These are no longer in production, but if anyone wants these I'm selling mine cheap, they're white with blue stickers and are pretty scratched up but are strong and light (about 18lbs each)
pics are in my cardomain page linked below

I'm thinking going 17x8 with 25mm offset all the way around.
Does that make sense?

What I am looking to do for a set of track wheels is 18x10 wheels up front, 17x11.5 wheels in the back...
My current wheels are 18x9.5 18x10.5 Enkei NT03+M

its not really that clean!
But, before I put the big brakes on I used the NISMO Pads... currently the hawks are on there.. both dont dust that much... but these wheels dont get as dirty as other wheels ive had on the Z...
I rarely clean my car... but when I do.. I use the pressure washer on the wheels...
here is a nice pic of my wheel when the car was stock...
dont get much worse then this!

The length from the center wheel to tip of the caliper is supposed to be 201.6mm.
This first picture shows that I printed the template correctly with the right dimensions.
The rest is self-explanitory
