i was told to do thi by someone, forgot who:

go to an empty parking lot... put the car in reverse, accelerate and then brake hard.

Repeat 3 or 4 times and it should remove all the buildup on your brake pads and stop the squealin'.

I havent tried this yet because im kinda too lazy to go try and find an emty parking lot.

YOu should start an other topic.

Not many people will think a topic named "Brake Squealing" is actually a request for BBK feed back...

first of all i stated the problem as my title...my brakes are squeekin there fore i want to change them.
2nd of all this isn't a bbk...its a direct replacement kit that i'm very interested in...like i originally asked...do u have any feedback or comments on the particular kit...if u dont then dont waste my time.

You don't spend 600$ changing rotors, lines, pads and fluids because your brakes are "squeelin".

your front pads are due... change those, and you are back at impressing girls at stoplights (which in anycase, don't require rotors, lines, pads and fluids)

+1

and just because you switch to a bbk doesn't mean you won't squeel. some sticky pads that grip well make lots of noise

the whole impressin girls thing was a joke...i was just bein sarcastic...
i dunno if u guys can read or not but i said i wanted to UPGRADE my brake system (i'm well aware of the crappy non-brembo brakes on the g/z) cuz i'm rollin 20's.
all i asked for was some feedback or comments about the particular brake kit and u ppl had to make things complicated.

i'm well aware of this too...its just that the stock brake system wasn't cuttin it for me...and the squeelin just gave me a reason to upgrade.

p.s. - this is not a bbk guys. its a direct replacement with upgraded roters, pads, lines, fluids

With the stoptech stg 2 package and a nice STREET pad, you should have very minial squeal if the brake is installed and beded in properly. It always doesn't hurt to put some "brake-quiet" paste on the back if the pad shim before you put it in.
