Default How do I take off front Coilovers?

I recently had coilovers put on but I need to swtich back to stock and sell my JICs because of money reasons. I had a shop put them on, but I'm fairly confident I can take them off and put the stocks back on I just need a little bit of guidance. I'm going to be doing this in my driveway with basic jacks, jackstands, compressor etc. What I dont have is a spring compressor, is the job still doable?? Any help would be appreciated, remember, its only the front I need to do, I already did the backs on my own. Thanks in advance.

If you still have you stock shock/springs assembled then you do not need a compressor as you will remove one assembly and install the other, you can do it yourself easily if that is the case, just disconnect the shock at the top and bottom, you will probably have to disconnect the lower control arm to easily remove the shock.

Thanks for the quick reply. Will I need to put some sort of stand underneath the shock? I guess what I'm asking is, after the car is jacked up, will there still be pressure from the spring that I need to be careful of?

Not for the front.

Have fun, when the car is jacked up and the front wheels up in the air the shock is extended so no pressure on the spring, the reason I said you might want to remove the lower arm is because it is tough to compress the shock/spring specially with the stock shocks that have longer springs.

The rear need something under the spring because those are under pressure.

Was a piece of cake. I actually removed the upper arm, it seemed like the easiest way for me. The first side took a little while trying to think everything out, then the second side took no more than 25-30 minutes to take coilover off and put on the other one, thanks for the help!
