I have stock "track" brembos on my '03 touring Z with OEM rotors, Hawk HPS pads and goodridge SS brake lines. The pads are only about 6 months old and the rotors were resurfaced about the same time.
The squeal coming from my brakes is VERY bad. I used the spray-on stop squeal on the back of the pads when they were installed and the anti-squeal clips are properly installed.
Occasionally, when I am going very slow, the squeal will be cyclical -- i.e., like the pads squeal at one point of the tire rotation, but not the other. This makes me suspect that I may have warped the rotors. That said, I have not abused the rotors in a way that would heat them up so much to warp them...
I have not checked the e-brake pads/drum, but my understanding is that they do not contact unless the e-brake is pulled.
So, why am I squealing so bad and what do I do about it? If parts are involved, please feel free to suggest a place to get them at a reasonable price.
Thanks,
Harry
