Bigger Rotors for non brembo
Can I put bigger rotors on my non brembo brake set up? If so, how big can the stock calipers take? I'd like to upgrade to the stock brembo set up if I can find them used.
Also, is $2,500 a good price for a 4 wheel set of Rotora 4 piston big brakes with less then 1000 miles on them?
Thanks,
Chris

There is a kit out there somewhere, I don't know who makes it but it utilizes the stock calipers and has a bigger rotor. I'm not so sure I would want to use that setup but I know there is one out there.

Yes, we have OE caliper upgrade kits. The front kit comes with an extended bracket to fit 332x24mm rotors from the stock 296x24mm. We also have the rear OE caliper kit as well.

For front two-piece rotor & rear one-piece rotor OE caliper kits, will retail for $1,420.00

Rotor thickness is the main culprit in warping..............24mm just doesn't cut it ...........measure the metal vs air vs metal space []--[]......[ ]--[ ].
The ratio of rotor weigh oem vs upgrade tells you within 2-3% what the new rotor temp will be under equal conditions............20% [3 pound] heavier rotor will be 20% lower in temperature and so will the pads [approximately ~15%].
Larger diameter just changes clamp force vs foot pedal ratio [of] course they weigh more but 1/3 of increase in diameter mass is air space.
Weight your rotor choices to determine what gains each potentially has!

STOP TECH stage 2 all the way... Best upgrade for your factory set up...
Keep the factory calipers on the OE Sized rotors... That's what they were engineered for...

We have had customers in the past paint them with high temperature paint (ie. VHT) on the color of their choice.
