not a noticeable drop... go with S-tech or hotchkis. I'm on hotchkis and usually never have problems scraping if I'm careful.

-Mike (is assuming you're thinking about H-tech because you don't want to lower too much and scrape)

Got a pair of S tech's on the way from ebay. Will I need new shocks? I'm thinking of just going with stock shocks and seeing how it goes

depends on how well the spring rate of the teins match with the stock specs. shocks and struts are valved to certain compression and rebound specs to match spring rates. i think?

I'd like to know. Anybody here running stock OEM shocks with Tein S techs or any other lowering springs with stock shocks?

Installed Tein S with mine and no problems with my stock shocks. I did quite a bit of research on the springs and there were two primary reasons I went with Tein S: (1) I did not have to replace my OEM shocks, and (2) I did not have to mess with alignments (over 1" drop requires you to do so). PLUS, I picked up my used Tein S for $75!

Cool, I'm feeling better about the tein S already. Just have to install them when they arrived. Won a set off of ebay for $80.00 shipped. I just hope the seller comes through.

According to the Tein website, Tein S drop the car over 1", I thought you needed a camber kit if the car is dropped over an inch, any comments.

Anytime you mess with suspension, like changing the springs or changing the shocks, you should re-align your car. Dropping it over an inch has nothing to do with it. If you drop your car at all, depending on how much and if you don't want to eat up tires, you should get a camber correction kit. Just FYI

^^^^^

But if you stick with lowering 1" max, it's more likely that the camber/toe/.... can be alligned to stock specifications. No real need than for a camber correction kit if it's all within spec again.
