Depends on what you are doing? Are you talking about in terms of street driving only? Tracking?

Brakes are only as good as the tires that are on the wheels.

The only advantage of the 14" rotors is that they have more mass to absorb more heat so that you would be less likely to fade. Read this article where they test stock Z brakes, Z Brembos, 13" Stoptech, and 14" Stoptech.

http://www.zeckhausen.com/Testing_Brakes.htm

You can see that the stopping distances between the 13" and 14" were marginal. But the front temps were noticably lower on the 14" kit.

yeah i know all that about heat, and brakes, ok i will be more clear, i am running 275 front 295 rear, on light wheels, i just need to know if i will find shortcomings with the 13, they are alot cheaper, will they still be alot better than say the factory brembo's, opinions, i know why 14 is better, i just dont know by how much, i drive fast, and i will track often in the future. ok hope that helps. I more am looking for something like this, but obviously your opinions.

"If you are tracking you car semi often, i think you will find that the 13 inch kit will be adiquite, it will operate better than the stock brembo's which many people find ok on the track, unless you pushing very hard you will be happy with the 13.

Awsome read dklau33, very informative. I'd like to see the same testing done on AP as well.

I think you hit it right on the head. The 13" kit will suit most trackers just fine for a very long time. Go with the 14" right off the bat if you feel that you may need them in the future as your skills progress or if you just want peace of mind. Just remember the 14" requires 18" wheels which makes tires more costly, especially when you step into R comp rubber.
