Default Can I swap my regular calipers with the Gold OEM Brembo?

Hi everyone,

I'm a newbie here and just joined the forum. Just got my 2003 350z, and I'm looking to make my first upgrade.

Can I swap my regular calipers with the gold brembo without changing the rotors? What about the caliper bolts, do i need to buy a new set, or can i use the original bolts to mount the brembo calipers?

Thanks in advance.

P.

No, you'll need rotors, calipers, pads, lines, and the rear caliper bolts. You'll also need to cut/remove the rear dust shield for the the bigger rear rotor to fit.

I did This swap today.

you will need: everything that ZU L8R said, plus some good brake fluid.

Three of my rotors were stuck and I had to use a puller to get them off. To be on the safe side i would make sure you had one before starting the job.

I used tin snips to cut off the dust sheilds but a small grinder would have been nice.

Bleeding everything out is a good time.

Not gonna work, you need everything not just calipers!

Just paint them gold and put some Brembo stickers on them!

I know this doesn't apply to the OP because he has an 03, but the rear caliper bolts on my 06 Base were the same length as the track model rear caliper bolts I bought. I used the new bolts anyway but it wasn't necessary. Although, the part numbers for the 2 sets of bolts were different in my Nissan dealer's computer.

I thought they were a different thread, coarse vs fine or something like that.

Ya, while I'm at it, I might as well paint my wheels bronze or chrome it and put Volk stickers on them too. Don't just assume everyone is going for looks, but again there's nothing wrong with that too. Otherwise no one would be buying wheels, body kits and etc.

Anyway, that's beside the point! I would go for the entire package, but the guy selling it on ebay was only offering the calipers without the disc. The bid is up to 900 bucks now.

Thanks for the constructive input.

Regards,

P.

or a stoptech stage1 kit which has lines pads fluid but no rotors and buy some other rotors like EBC's
