Just want a drop and your not concerned with anything else, Prokit. Want a drop and have thoughts about some performance enhancement, Hotchkis or S-tech.
if you're concerned about warranty with your '06, think about Nismo, although you'll be overpaying -- if you don't give a crap about your warranty, do what Gsedan says -- he's the man on suspension
I Had Eibach And Didn't Like The Feel I Had When Driving; Got The S-techs And Feel Is Alot Firmer!
On the surface you shouldn't come that that conclusion. Both springs peak rates are really close Eibach 384/421 vs S-tech 386/402, hardly the sort of differance that one could say is stiffer then the other ,right? The reason why you felt a differance between the springs lies in how the Eibachs are progressive front and rear, several coils have to bind on the Pro-kits in order to get to the final peak rates posted above. The S-techs are progresssive in the front, but linear in the rear. And on those front S-tech springs, only 1 maybe 1 1/2 coils have to bind to effect rate change so the differance between it's softer initial rate and the published final rate won't be as great as the pro-kits. Your not the only one that didn't like how those springs felt.
Eibach 350Z progressive springs 1”/1” drop
Spring rates in LBS initial/final front 296/384 initial/final rear 316/421
Tein S-tech 350Z progressive front linear rear .7”/.6” drop
Spring rates in LBS 386/402
