Default Those with Stance coilovers... what shock settings do you run?

I'm about to install a set of Stance coilovers on my G35, and I was curious what all you guys with Stance coilovers have settled on as far as the shock settings. Since the rears have to be removed to make a change, I wanted to make a good initial setting. The car is driven only on the street (no track days, yet).

Thanks!

I know you want help so you don't have to do a rear uninstall to re-adjust, but a word of caution. Many don't know when a dampning setting is right or wrong, they just go with what feels good. More often then not, that feeling is underdampned without the greatest control being given. I'd be more inclined to avoid softer settings because of that.

Excellent points. However with zero input I'll probably just start at 7/15 and go from there, inevitably having to uninstall the rear a few times. Any other opinions and experiences would be helpful with respect to these units.

On a side note, I opted for the OEM-style rear. I wasn't a fan of the continuous full vehicle weight on the shock mounting point with the true coilover rear setup. I don't doubt it from a handling perspective, but with all the clunking noise issues and wearing of the rubber bushing it looked like a bit of a headache.

No kidding they still have the oem style rear setup, I thought they didnt offer that any more. Did you get the basic or the GR+? What did they say the rear spring rate is?

Technically they don't offer it anymore as part of the line-up, but they had one set left from older stock so I jumped on it. They said they could still special order them, but it would take 6-8 weeks. They verified that the OEM-style setup rates were 12 kg/mm front and 11 kg/mm rear. From what I understand, it is the same level as the GR+ (pillow-ball mounts included for the front), however I'm not sure on the "oversized shock".

I kept mine at the 7/15 setting. I think they are fine at that point but i sure could have them at 9 to be a bit more agressive.

Have you had a chance to review any stance coilovers? You are the suspension guru here and I have possibly thought about Stance Coilovers. Any insight on them?

10/15 front. 7/15 rear. Feels good, hugs corners well, and do not hit any potholes!

So you set it at 7/15 initially and never changed it?

Did you start softer in the front and move up to 10/15 based on how it felt? What was the issue with the lower initial setting? Would you go harder in the rear if you didn't have to remove the shock to do so?

Thanks for the input guys, much appreciated! Mine are sitting around waiting to be installed by me on a free weekend.

Mechee:

I started out with the fronts set at 7 clicks. Then I moved it to 10. 7 was too soft imo for the front. As for the rear, its at 7 for now. So far it feels fine and I have no plans on moving it any higher.

This is for everyday street use.

there really isn't much info on the site, as far as specs go. but thankfully there is a ton of good info here! i think i too will go for the OEM style rear. do they offer that in all of their models (most importantly the GR+)?

Thanks for all the replies... one last question for all of you with Stance before I install my set:

How did you guys re-attach your speed sensor cables and brake lines in the front? These clip attachments are missing from the Stance front coilover. Did you zip-tie them somewhere? If anyone has a picture of their solution that'd be great. Thanks!
