Default oem brembo or bbk

hi i know this has been discussed many times, i have oem brembo now, but i wanna know can the bbk justify the $2000 difference vs the oem brembo??

is there really a big difference say from stoptech or AP racing from oem brembo?

I drive mostly for daily and maybe track use few tmies a year.

thanks

Stick with the brembos, and then when the time comes, upgrade your rotors and pads, and your brake lines and fluid. You'll get much better braking, at a fraction of the cost of doing a BBK.

Their is a massive difference between the Brembo's and the AP kit.
Brembo's are just not upto the job of hard track abuse, especially if your planning on running FI.

Im running 500whp and during hard track driving, I cannot get my AP's to fade, they work great.

Do this,

OEM brembo calipers, StopTech 2 pc rotors for OEM brembo's, StopTech Stainless Steel lines, appropriate pads, and then you got yourself a pretty good setup. Granted you won't have the heat capacity of going to a full on big brake kit, but you will have a pretty robust system going for you.

Here's an email from my Brembo Rep at RT, some nice details on the difference on the Brembo BBK vs the Brembo OEM too, I was trying to see if I could order an OEM Brembo setup through them (Which I cannot, so I am just going to wait and save up for the 355mm BBK):

Will,

The oem rear Nissan Calipers would have to come Nissan.

And the front GT Kit from us.

Bob,

True on the rear kit! Would I order that through you all or through Nissan?

Who actually has experience tracking with this type of set up?

I also have OEM Brembos with stoptech braided lines, RBF600 fluid and I run PFC01 front PFC97 rear pads. I still get fade from overheating and have added ducting to the backing plates for a small improvement, but not a total cure.

How much difference will 2 piece rotors make to my set up? Any opinions based on experience? I am also wondering how much improvement that will get in comparison to a BBK.

stick with the Brembos and just upgrade pad and rotors. They are great calipers already.
