Default Fastbrakes.com Wilwood kit fits in stock 03 18" rims? *Pics on Page 2*

Ok guys,

Brake pads in the front gave out today. I am going to go and plunge for the $850 Wilwood-calipered front kit at fastbrakes.com.

It's the one that uses the 4-pot FSL calipers along with Brembo-sized rotors (12.76").

My only question is, will it fit under my front 18" '03 Touring rims? I looked around in the threads and it seems like they will fit, but I just want a SURE confirmation before I go ahead and order it this weekend.

Thanks for any advices/tips! And no need to suggest other BBK's to me, I am quite poor and the Fastbrakes.com kit suits me fine. Just daily driving and wants a better looking brake system.

The stock non-Brembo Z brakes makes me feel like a ***** hahahhaah!!!!

Keep in mind that the non-brembo Z has a smaller master cylinder than the track model

I don't think that you feeling like a ***** has anything at all to do with non-brembo brakes.

OUCH!!! Rough crowd this morning.....

let us know how those brakes work out. I was reading on this site a little while ago that the some of the Wilwood calipers were pieced together with random parts or something. I don't remember the specifics but is that what is in this kit as well???

that seems like a pretty good price. just found it on there site. Nice kit for the money.

Yes they fit. No the master cylinder does not need any changes/work. Theres an article on that exact same setup here (Well almost the article is about their 6 piston setup but it should still pertain):

Yep, rough crowd this morning for sure Next time I'll bake everyone brownies heheh

Thanks for all the tips/grouches! I'm going to send Fastbrakes the money next weekend when my fat bonus arrives, and then it will take another 2 weeks for delivery and putting the kit on. I'll report back in about 3 weeks!

You have the non-brembo set up right? This kit looks nice, but doesn't it say on fastbrakes.com that its for cars with the brembo kit? The reason I ask is that I was looking at upgrading my brakes as well, and this kit seems like a good way to go. Will it work with a car without factory brembos? Any help would be nice. To the OP: can you PM me with some insight. thanks.

Yah from all the readings on the various thread on this board, this kit is for non-Brembo car. It comes with Brembos-sized rotors (12.76 x 1.18). I will post it all up once I get this kit in and installed, hopefully before July 4th.

Try giving Greg Vogel at www.gspec.com a call. 760-535-2259 He had the first set of these brakes and does a lot of work with Brian from Fastbrakes. He can steer you in the right direction.
