Cool New brake help please, I admit I know nothing.

Ok I did the 350z rear caliper/SS line and cross drilled/slotted change to my 2007 maxima. I got my 2006 cross drilled/slotted rotors today and went to size them up with the 2006 2 piston calipers. Well the *******s only sent half the caliper. I dont have the bolts (no biggie) but also dont have the floating part of the caliper. It should be obvious that I cant use the other half of my original caliper right? If he doesnt have the other half should I get my money back or try and get the rest of the parts? Appreciate the help and yes I miss my Z. They arent open till monday but please somebody inform me.

not familiar with the compatability between the two cars or if youre referring to regular or brembo z brakes. it sounds like youre saying the caliper has been disassembled and you only got half. are there 2 brake pads on each caliper you received or just one? if there are 2 opposing pads i would assume you have the whole caliper, and just need to figure out the mounting orientation. if just one pad per caliper or only a place to put one you may only have half the caliper. if thats the case get your money back because you shouldnt have to use pieces from your caliper to mate up with what you bought. it's highly unlikely this would work. pics would help to explain your problem. aaaaand from what youve said so far you may want to have a reputable brake place check what you have and do the swap. if you bought this from a shop just have them show you how it's assembled.

What happened is the place only sent half the caliper, I have the piston side but need the part with the 2 sliding pins that hold the brake pads in so im at a holding pattern now until i can get my money back from them to purchase new calipers. I kinda know what im doing and it should bolt right up but it would be nice to have one to verify correct bolt alignment etc... This weekend I might just put the SS hoses on along with the new rotors until I can get new calipers and try them out , but thanks for the reply atleast.

Thats how they normally come, the only way you will get a set with the mounting bracket is used or thru the dealer.

This was through a junkyard and as supposed to be a full caliper to my understanding.
