Default Dealer Installed New Brakes, Now Spongy Feeling!

I just had new brakes installed on my '03 Track (Brembo), and now they feel all spongy and seem like they aren't good at all.

Do they need like a wear in time? I am concerned they did not install the Brembo ones, but the stock ones, or something worse, is that possible?

that's impossible to install the wrong brake pads.

The OEM brembo calipers are harder to bleed. You have to really get all of the air bubbles out. You need to take the car back because it's not a good thing or safe to have a spongy brake pedal feel. They need to rebleed the entire brake system.

Took car back to the dealership, they said the brake pads were not seated properly, will let you know if that helped!

You should probably bed them in when you get your car back. It will help the pedal feel and you car will brake better after.

Got the car back they seem better. The dealer said the pads were not sitting right w/ the rotor, and that was causing the slow response when bedding the pedal. The invoice says they re-seated the pads.

I'd like to know how they re-seated them......

Perhaps a few hard stops?

Reseated them? Sounds like they're covering something up and trying to blow smoke up your @$$.
