Even if its the same size, how come they have two diff part numbers? There must be something different internally to have two separate part numbers. Most likely is the valving inside the MBC for Brembo brakes; which, is capable of pumping more volume than the non-Brembo.

Tim (when he was still there) was the one that priced the install for me & it was back in May of last year. Jeff may be able to help. One thing I did though was thoroughly cleaned the calipers with an engine degreaser (soaked & brushed multiple times). I tried a brake cleaner too but the degreaser worked best. Also used the honda touch-up paint for any scratches. By the time I was done it looked brand new!!!

don't use degreaser or brake cleaner on teh calipers. It eat up your clearcoat on the caliper very fast. When you touch your calipers, it should be very slippery and glossy, if not, clearcoat is damaged already.

I used the engine cleaner that you spray & wash off w/ water. It did not damage the clearcoat. I used a toothbrush to get the dirt off. Maybe I was just lucky.

So will there be any issues with the e-brake? And approximately how much would something like this cost to install?

I didn't change out my master cylinder and it feels fine. I did change out to stainless lines, hawk pads and motul fluid at the time. If you have a friend that can help, you should try installing the brakes yourself. That way you know how to work on them. The hardest part is cutting off the shields, which you can rent a saw at home depot or something, and the 2nd hardest part which really isn't hard is bleeding the brakes. It's just tedious if you have a friend pump and you bleed, it takes forever. I never tried the speed bleeders, supposedly they're fast and a one man operation.

I'm upgrading my '06 non-Brembo brakes to OEM Brembos. I already have stainless steel brake lines. Does anyone know if I can use these same brake lines with the Brembos?

I'm pretty sure that the brake lines are the same, or at least they were for my year.

Thanks, that's what I thought. I know for pads & rotors, they always asked if Brembo or non-Brembo but not for the brake lines.
