Do not get drilled. I wouldn't trust them as far as I could throw my Evo. Either get slotted or regular face.

drilled cracks. Get slotted for the looks, not sure if it has any performance gains.

Had this same question myself.

Tirerack even has this note:
http://www.tirerack.com/brakes/brake...+Drilled+Rotor

"NOTE: Brembo Sport drilled brake rotors are not recommended by The Tire Rack for track use or intended to be used in conjunction with race compound brake pads on the street. For severe duty brake demands see Brembo Sport slotted brake rotors."

slotted will help to vent the built up gases away from the pad which in turn will reduce fade to some degree. As previously stated drilled rotors tend to crack under high heat. Slotted are more reliable and a nice upgrade from stock.

Any method [drilled/slotted] used to remove mass from the rotor will increase rotor temperature vs a plain solid unit under identical street conditions.

Mine are both slotted & drilled, with 3 full track days on this setup I have experienced no problems. I also am using SS brake lines and dot4 brake fluid and Hawk HKS pads. Before I purchased, eveybody on this site were telling me the slotted rotors would eat the brake pads real damn quick, only 14,000 miles and no wear, warping or cracking problems.

The cool thing about this site is that we are partial to our specific setups, so everything else is $hit,, even if they don't have a BBK on their Z cars some make comments.

One of your choices needs to be "Neither".

F1 doesn't use cross drilled or slots.

Most people are buying them for the bling factor, not for any real performance gain. As many have pointed out, drilled are an all around bad idea. Slotted have some benefit to offer, but for the daily driver it probably make absolutely no difference at all.

This subject has been discussed several times, here's one recent example....
