Back on topic.
+1 Tho I would switch out the brake lines and pads for track use.

The difference just won't be noticable at your foot. You will probably feel more of a difference from the brake bleed. How do i know, sportbikes. We do the same thing with out lines, but the front brake is off they fingers. Fingers are a lot more sensitive that your foot/leg.

That does help thx. I've never tried aftermarket lines...so was curious.
On the ducts. I was really referring to track use, but forgot about that. sorry work is hectic today.
I haven't torn into my Z, or any Z for that matter...Why do the 03-05 brakes suck? I have heard a cpl ppl say that, but never understood why. Size? we know size does matter! ha. I def. worked them out at the last autox, and they were strong enough to lock up my tires (wish I had stickier tires).

And then the brake ducts might negate much of the thermal isues....a nice breeze does wonders to lower temps

other "upgrades" like lines, pads, fluid may help this fade issue as well...I'm not trying to argue, just bring up an alternative theory...If ducting works on hiperf. cars w/ massive brakes, why wouldn't it help less awesome brakes...maybe even more than it helps the big ones...since there's likely to be a larger decrease in heat.

ducting sounds like another good alternative. if you can quickly cool down an engine temp by opening your hood, i think the same things goes for the brakes... 'a little breeze can make a difference', especially when abusing the Z at track.
but try to drive a Brembo'd Z (or better yet with stage2 upgrade), play with the brakes for a while to the feel the difference (if your friend would let u) and from there on maybe u can finally decide.
