Default Wilwood 4 pistons front BBK

Hello, I recently saw someone on Ebay is selling a Wilwood 4 Pistons front BBK for $790 shipped, I am wondering is that a good deal or what? I am not a track person, so I don't try to do too much of research on big brake kits, but this one it sounds pretty good.

And I am thinking, if I am getting this 4 pistons kit, i will just take the front OEM calipers and replace the rear OEM Calipers, hope that would work.

BTW I am newbie of cars, so I have said anything incorrect please let me know.

Do you have a link to the add? I'd be weary of an ebay Wilwood kit going for that price. Brakes are not something to cheap out on and you will pay for them in the end. Without seeing the add, I can bet they are using the china town ebay d/s rotors, generic brake lines, and a very thin mounting bracket.

Unfortunately the front calipers will not work on the rears. That would be really nice though.

I'm sending you a PM here shortly. Good luck with your decision!

Alex

On a Dime, how much could a BBK be had for? Better than stock, good looking, cheap... Those are the characteristics I am looking at here...

I was looking at this same exact kit and got some advice about it from someone who owned the kit. He highly recommended that I avoid this kit at all costs. The calipers are Wilwood and that's about it. Everything else are cheap parts - rotors, brackets, pads, etc... Nuff said IMO - brakes aren't something that I am willing to skimp on.

I think the best bang for your buck would be the Akebono 370z/G37 BBK. At $1200 for fronts it's a great deal and the entire kit is serviceable at any Nissan Service facility.

i've got the wilwood kit f/r. those brackets in the ad are nowhere near the strength of the kit i have. my .02 is don't touch it !
*if i didn't already have my bbk, i'd be all over the akebono setup.
