My 06 Base shakes during braking
Have a 06 Base, first owner...46K miles on it. About 30K of that is freeway.
Anyways, I noticed it started to shake whenever I applied the brakes. At high speeds (70+) I would really feel it in the steering wheel. Not so much on the brake pedal.
Called a shop, they said it was my rotors were wharped. Took it in and they resurfaced the front rotors and intalled some Hawk pads on the front.
Was okay for about 50 miles, now the shaking is back....not as bad this time, but progressively worse than from when I got it back last week.
Do you guys think it's the rear rotors? Or what.
Thanks for the advice.

They probably had to cut too much. 46K is a lot on a rotor these days.
I'd replace them if it were anywhere near the machine to limit, other wise you'll be dealing with it again.
Rear rotors would give you a pulsation more in the pedal and not the wheel.

Man, they must not be making rotors like they used to. Warped at 46K is common??
Ge'ez, I can see it if I drive like an maniac...but I don't.
So who makes decent rotors that wont warp at 45K

could be any number of things
rotors too thin
torn/worn bushings
rotors don't really "warp" - they get deposits on them, usually from improper pad break in, using the wrong pad for the conditions under which you drive, etc.
Repeating the pad break in prodecude will generally get rid of it, unless the rotors are too thin in the first place, at which point, a replacement will be required
