Finally got Brembo Brakes... Off an R35...
Nick - That is an amg brembo 6pot setup, and the two calipers are different as
far as we could tell. R35 setup is unique to my car for now. I will also be running
fronts and rears.
I initially believed that leeboy would be able to help me, but once we exchanged
info I realized that we had two completely unique systems. What we do have in
common is that we both designed and machined original bracketry. Unfortunately
I am a dumski and bought the farm size model.
Had I bought the amg setup he could have emailed me CADs for our machinist and
I would have been done in late june ('09) instead of a week ago.
Leeboy built a SICKKKKKKKKKKKKKK car and sold it
I was ecstatic that he was willing to share notes, but alas I foraged uncharted territory.
Let's see what Jalopnik says.
FYI - Esprit japan built an audi tt for a special customer and installed r35 brakes
on it!
I've done so much homework on this it would make you sick.
This includes a conference call with endless-r japan and a translator that dead ended
also....

the fronts are lonely without the rears...
i am really interested to see what braking distance is from 100-0 &
60-0 (on street tires) when we're done. as it stands the fronts alone
will rip your face off and have proven a tad too "sensitive" in the wet.
the look on people's faces at stoplights, at the gas station, and
frankly anywhere is priceless. the combo of white te's and massive
gold brembo stoppers makes jaws drop.

It seems green goblin will be test fitting a rough bracket this weekend (*maybe)
and hopefully we will cut the finished brackets thereafter. Hopefully 2 more weeks
total and then doneski.

Congrats on getting the fronts done.
I know what it's like to try and piece together your own kit. I bought a set of "350z/g35" brembo calipers off ebay 6 years ago. They bolted up to my G35, but they didn't allow me to fit the OEM 12.6" brembo rotor. I could only fit a 12.1" rotor. So I had to design my own bracket, and I created one out of T6061 aluminum, and had emachineshop.com make it for me. Now I'm running 13.6" two piece floating rotors.
The brackets only cost me $300 shipped to my door, but next time I'm going to just buy a aftermarket kit. I also had to buy a pair of 13" two piece floating rotors from Rotora during this fitment process. If anyone wants a pair of floating rotors for cheap, let me know.
