**Steering knuckle ball joints??**
giant hole, grease everywhere and its not moving back and fourth it just droops
Spoke with Autozone they said it's free exchange due to the limited lifetime warranty. All i need to do is buy a new joint and bring the old one back for a refund. Still contemplating a new spindle.

I'd just go the DL one again, but that's just me.
Weird, though, since I've had mine for almost as long and no problems for me. I also go to the track and autox a lot.
Even my eBay ones held up to probably close to 2 years of race abuse and Chicago winters even with them installed improperly.

Dam I must get a crazy discount but bought two for 66$. However there somewhere in my trunk under PPE headers me spacer lol. Anybody seen negative effects of not changing out one? It's barely leaking grease so ill prob just wait
Have had my ebay ball joints in my room for about a year, Might attempt to install them but I'm sure the AutoZone C-clamp will not be fun. I'm not even sure I need to replace them. Car has 162k miles on it and feels like I'm always driving on gravel.

I installed the ebay balljoints maybe 1 year ago or more. I greased the inside only of the balljoint boots and they haven't cracked. Also the boots only sit on top of the balljoints, they do not slip over the ball joint so do not force them over.
The only complaint I have is the castle nut which is stupid.

If you are referring to the NUT and not the bolt- use a jack to jack up directly under the ball joint to compress the suspension. This will push the ball joint into the control arm and give you enough friction to turn the nut off.
Now onto the upper ball joints.
Fcking boot on the ebay balljoint lasted 4 months for me. I hate doing work twice

I sent the balljoint pic to Energy suspension, and buddy recommended 13009 as their best fit. There are 4 different part numbers for 13009, as they include different options. Best to email them telling them what you need, i.e. include the above photo with dimensions if you decide to go that route.
Buddy from Ebay wants me to send him a picture of the torn rubber boot not believing it's torn. I can stick my finger in there, and touch grease it's that much of a tear, so I'll see if Ebay dude ships me out another boot.
Failing that it's looking like energy suspension boot #13009.
Looks like the boot exploded...
** UPDATE: Ok so I emailed Ebay dude, and he sent me out a new balljoint, and boot for free.
He swears up and down that they ship out thousands of ball joints every year, and have yet to hear of a boot tearing.
Just relaying the information, buddy was pretty adamant about it.
The other side is fine, so we'll see.
