F-ck.

Will an OEM boot fit the ebay specials?

I emailed the ebay dude, but will probably get the same crap rubber, and the energy suspension ones don't fit.

Not loving the options at this point.

Anyone?

I sent the balljoint pic to Energy suspension, and buddy recommended 13009 as their best fit. There are 4 different part numbers for 13009, as they include different options. Best to email them telling them what you need, i.e. include the above photo with dimensions if you decide to go that route.

Buddy from Ebay wants me to send him a picture of the torn rubber boot not believing it's torn. I can stick my finger in there, and touch grease it's that much of a tear, so I'll see if Ebay dude ships me out another boot.

Failing that it's looking like energy suspension boot #13009.

Looks like the boot exploded...

** UPDATE: Ok so I emailed Ebay dude, and he sent me out a new balljoint, and boot for free.

He swears up and down that they ship out thousands of ball joints every year, and have yet to hear of a boot tearing.

Just relaying the information, buddy was pretty adamant about it.

The other side is fine, so we'll see.

Question

hey guys, I am new here.

Did anyone check the Deeza Ball Joints at rockauto.com? I just saw them today, part number ING605 - $41.79 each. I searched Deeza on google and found some pretty good reviews.

I have a 2007 350Z - black...

You gave 500 bucks for 2 ball joints. you should be out of your mind. they will eventually get busted as well. it is physically not possible that they do not get bad after couple years...

They are not just balljoints as they correct front roll center

I personally went through 1.5 sets of outer joints between 2004 and end of 2006 on my car before fitting the moonface units in 2007. I have not had to touch them since

This may be true but I rationalized my purchase as: $500 was cheaper than the $645 the stock replacement costs - I didn't trust the $60 eBay part for lasting very long and figure I might as well get an improvement and pay a little less than the whole stock assembly would cost me.

Though my car is currently a daily/ show car I do occasinonaly track and autocross it. Most of my modifications are pointed to my final outcome which is to move onto another car - strip this one and road race it until I total it - I plan to be the only owner of this car ever.

I bought the Deeza ING605 ball joints from RockAuto and the lower ball joint seat does not fit onto these ball joints.

The top of the ball joint is too thick for the seat to slide down onto it. Not sure what I'm going to do yet, has anyone else run into this?

Have a pic of them side by side? Or a pic of it over the opening? You should check the part numbers and see if you can get a refund

Take the seat to a machine shop and have them open up the ID for a semi-press fit onto the new Deeza ball joint.

They did send me the right part number for what they feel fits the 2003 350z, but the seat from the stock ball joint definitely does not fit on it... No pics of the original mismatch unfortunately as we already used a lathe on the seat to widen it, but it fits like a glove now!

Also, changed out my torn lower control arm bushings and compression rod bushings for the Energy Suspension ones and the ride is 100% better - I highly recommend these for anyone sitting on the fence

Considering i was next to you and doing all the talking. It is not the ball joint, just the dust boot.
