I have another question... If my joint/bushings/both need to be replaced, would it be stupid to get an alignment before correcting the problem? Could these faulty parts cause a premature misalignment or do they have no bearing on the camber and toe settings???

From reading and researching it sounds like these parts can cause wear during braking (only???)

Thanks in advance...
Very stupid to try get it aligned , and very shady of a shop to align it if the bushings or balljoints are bad. If it just a boot, who cares, see my post above about swapping the boot out, but i would still wait for an alignment cause you need to unbolt the arm. (in theory it won't affect the alignment , but these cars are funny)

Sooooo I took a look at my compression rods and the bushings appear to be in decent condition however my passenger side ball joint had grease on one side... I think this means I need a new arm, huh?

Or just change the boot out while the ball joint is still good.

Test your ball joint as Davidv suggested and see if you can tell if its bad or not. If not, just do what ^ he said and replace the boot/add alittle grease.
