Default keep it stock or bbk

i have stock calipers was thinking about either saving for a bbk. or just buying some performance rotors, ss lines, putting in that dot 4 ate brake fluid, and hawk pads hps. i dont plan on tracking the car anytime soon but if i do will the stock setup i mention not be track reliable?

thanks

How could someone make that decision for you. Research both setups then ask yourself does a bbk warrant the high cost. Do you ask complete strangers how to spend your $ or do you make informed decisions on your own

bbk cost a pretty penny. for most people on the forms and from my experience most people get a bbk for the looks i myself fall into this category as i want a bbk in the future. however keep in mind ur looking to spend anywhere from 3k to 5k and more

do you do a lot of track racing? would shelling out a couple thousand really be a necessity if you are just going to the occasional autox and daily driving? For me it isnt.

id upgrade your rotors, lines, fluids and pads, but go with the HP+, I feel the bite on the HPS is actually less than the OEM, atleast it was noticeable to me. I mean they still work fine and i've had no trouble, and the low dust is a plus, but if you're going for the performance i'd go with the HP+

The Stock Z brakes are fine. If you have some cash go for the stock Brembos, I would if I had them but not for performance more for looks. The Z brakes do fade faster then normal when hitting them hard non stop though.

Stock brake set up will work fine for your first 4-6 track events. Save your $ for events and driver's ed.

Agree. What is tracking? Autocross? HPDE? Time attack? Track the car as is several times. Decide what brakes if anyone you need.

Better tires will help you stop/accelerate/corner better than anything else. Or you can buy all the $$$ parts for the Z w/o ever realizing their full potential, which is fine for a show car.

unless you need to stop on a dime just upgrade stock or get the Akba... Akbon... Akebono? 370z brakes. There big, cheap, and not a pain in the a** to find parts for.

I agree with most, the stock package will hold up to someone who doesn't do a lot of tracking (you just will not drive fast enough to use them right away). Now after you've done it a few times and you really start pushing this question will be an after thought.
