Default having a problem to unlock bolts on rotor..

I just bought a set of rotors and brake pads and wanted to install them asap. But the bolts behind the rotor are too tight to unlock it. so I put brake pads for now. Did anyone had a same problem as I am having?

I sprayed WD40 at the hub waiting 15 mins removed the caliper and then a light whack with a mallet released the rotor. This was the rear. It fits tight on the hub.
The front was no problem.

Are you talking about the bolts that hold the caliper down to the wheel hub assembly? The two 22mm bolts? If so, they're a bit tough to get off, but you should be able to squeeze a breaker bar in there. If that isn't an option you could always try tapping a regular wrench/ratchet with a rubber/sand filled mallet to get it off (just remember to hold the wrench head to the bolt while tapping so that it doesn't slip and strip the bolt). Hope that helps somewhat.

Also, sorry I forgot to mention, just like the above poster stated: spray some wd40 or even better PB blaster on the bolts about 30 minutes before trying to get them off. You can even try spraying them with PB Blaster a night ahead to give it time to penetrate. That should make your life easier.

Default holy..

that 22mm bolts are stuck as hell... First I sprayed wd40 for several times on the volts, and I tried to loosen it backward and forward with my 100% strength for 2hours!! but they are not moving just an 0.1inch!!! Why my volts are so tightened up like this? I almost died after the second trial of rotor change. I am gonna bring it to tire shop or dealer. This is terrible..

Buy yourself a $15-20 breaker bar and save yourself money at the tire shop :]

Kind of an old thread, but if you are referring to the nut that is on the hub behind the cotter pin, then yeah those are on very tight. I snapped two extension and a ratchet trying to get it off. I drove down to sears, bought the most heavy duty ratchet I could find, bought a 1 1/4 socket, and after about an hour of trying and about a pound of PB blaster, it came off. My car never cooperates with me. I have the hardest time doing anything to my car. =( FML
