Help needed: change brake pads/rotors?
I'm waiting on my new rotors to arrive, so I decided to post here in hope somebody give me couple of pages from maintenance CD, or at least general guidelines.
I do change brakes myself on my Mercedes and there I have to unscrew couple of bolts to deattach caliper, than change brake pads. Rotor just sits on the whatevere-its-name fixed with one little nut. So it's all fairly easy. Is it kind of the same on a Z?

I had the calipers and rotors removed from my Track Z last weekend... sounds just like you describe.
On the Brembos, the front uses two 20mm bolts and the rear uses two 18mm bolts to hold the caliper to the spindle (I think... I'm old and can barely remember yesterday, much les last weekend!)
Once you move the caliper out of the way, the rotor will just fall off.... so, watch your toes... those things are heavy
Make sure you have the parking brake off or you will NEVER get the rear rotor off.
Hope that helps,
PeteH

The fronts WILL fall off. As for the rears you'll need a bit of ......persuasion!
I suggest a HARD rubber mallet, tapping on the inner outer edge of the rotor while slowly rotating it. A few hard whacks with a BFH between the lug studs won't hurt either.
Good luck!
